A note from our Priest
Today is a day of gratitude and hope.
We have blessed the ground, but what we are really blessed is a future, one built not only of concrete and steel, but of faith, service, and love for our community. We remember those who have passed George Plumis, Charlie DeJong, Dave Betts, Doc Steiner, Nancy Paris to name a few.
In Scripture we hear, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1). Today we stand here to acknowledge that this work begins not with our strength, but with God’s grace! So let us remember something essential: Jesus is the true builder of our Holy Church.

He is the One who has called us into this sacred work. He is the One who unites our hearts. And He is the One who will bless every step we take together. So first and foremost, let us offer Him our gratitude for trusting us with this vision and for giving us the grace to bring it to life.
This ground will soon hold walls and rooms, but more importantly, it will hold prayers, stories, meals shared, burdens lifted, and lives touched. What we begin today is not just construction, it is commitment: to continue to serve, to welcome, and to be present for all those who walk through our doors and those around us.
We are especially grateful to Mayor Chris Roberts and to the City of Shoreline for their support, partnership, and leadership for this city. We are thankful to walk this path together for the good of the whole community.
As we remember our ground breaking, we remember the words of Christ: “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock” (Matthew 7:24). May this work be firmly grounded in wisdom, cooperation, and compassion.
He is the One who has called us into this sacred work. He is the One who unites our hearts. And He is the One who will bless every step we take together. So first and foremost, let us offer Him our gratitude, for entrusting us with this vision and for giving us the grace to bring it to life.
May God bless the Constantine Builders, the planners, the leaders, and all who will one day cross this threshold. And may what rises here be a sign of hope, rooted in faith, built with care, and offered for the life of the world!
In His Service,
